not too bad

It was well-presented and amusing. Animated clocks just don't do it for me, though. And it was short. Looping animations is annoying, too.

ZenMicroClock responds:

Well I'm sorry that clocks don't "do it" for you. As for the length, this was completed within 24 hours. Thanks for the review anyway.

okay

Your animation style is okay. You got your point across. Seems like your message is just: "Animation is hard." Which it is. .... Ah hell, I'll give you a couple of more points because it's the most thought-provoking thing I've seen on Newgrounds in quite a while.

If a person seems to be trying to improve, I will be a bit generous with point and as helpful as I can with suggestions. However, especially nowadays, there are people on Newgrounds who don't even try to improve, and even seem strive for mediocrity--which I think is the real Newgrounds problem.

Trying to make something that people like is frustrating, I'm sure. Focus on animating better and telling a good story and you'll get better scores over time. (No short animation loops, please.)

I'd say you're doing fine.

I like it

Overall, I think it's good. I'm giving this a one-point lower score than the first part because of the voice acting. I could barely understand some of Whitestorm's lines because they were so quiet. Someone needs to make sure all the voices are the same volume.

The voice actors need to show more emotion. Some of the lines were delivered like they were reading them for the first time. And Lionheart kept flipping between calling the little orange cat a "him" and a "her".

And I'm subtracting a point again because the author didn't post this himself.

wanton360 responds:

well, once again...there were subtitles so it shouldn't be that hard to understand ;)
voice acting is not that amazing, I know...it's not that easy to find good people, jeez

It's a nice animation

Overall it's a good animation. It would really help if the voice actors were better at putting expression in their voice--they don't quite sound bored, but the way they deliver lines is flat compared to the action in the animation.

I subtracted one point because the author didn't post this himself. (I hope no one is surprised. It's in the author's comments.) I feel that authors should stand behind their own work. I can understand getting a distributor for commercial work, but in this case, the author could easily post this.

If authors don't post their own stuff, their work must either not be that important to them or they don't want their work posted here. That's the impression, anyway.

wanton360 responds:

he doesn't want his NG account flooded with the response i guess, and he doesn't like uploaded to NG. I don't really know, but he sent me the files and said upload them where ever so yeah, that's what I did.

blah

Needs animation.

pretty good

The animation was really smooth.

The only advise I can give on the blood is: Blood is a gelatinous liquid and more likely to fly off in gooey strands or blobs than raindrop pellets.

Looks kinda cool

I'd play it.

really bad

You couldn't even let the clock finish its gender-confused sentence before looping it? Needs animation.

not bad

It's well done. Very dramatic.

The explanation at the end was unnecessary. If you hadn't said anything, for all anyone knows, this is a finished product--or an animation test or something. Anyway, I think the computerized voice is annoying.

But still, this looks interesting and would be worth expanding on.

NathanDay responds:

Who doesn't hate the computer voice?
I sure don't.
I am rather amused by it.
Anyways, I kinda figured it'd piss people off, so what the heck. I'd rather have it than people complaining to me to expand upo- OH CRAP HERE WE GO

they're just waiting to get hit

Needs to be more fast-paced. And don't forget secondary action like recoiling from a jump--recoil from any action at that. He didn't even pull his arm back to throw the sword.

I think stick figures are perfectly fine to animate with. It just depends on how well you animate them.

nostalgiccreations responds:

yeah I've never been good at fight scenes...thanks for the advice
