not too bad

It's good. Your art is okay.

Not sure what you mean by the circle method you came up with. There are lots of books showing you how to break down the body into basic shapes in order to simplify drawing. It's a smart approach, but not a new concept.

Your hands really need work. You make the main part of the hand too short. If you straighten your thumb alongside your hand, your knuckles start at nearly the same level as the tip of your thumb. The first knuckes (each row of knuckles, in fact) should follow a curve sweeping at the end of the hand, not be level with each other.

You could have got more detailed with the tutorial. The file size is still relatively small. Going into facial and body proportioning would be useful.

needs lots of work

One of the most important features of a dress-up game is how you store accessories. Just leaving them lying around in the main screen area doesn't look good. It makes things look cluttered and innefficient, and it can obscure other pieces.

If you have a more organized system, you can arrange them by type--hence, telling the player what they're looking at. I wasn't sure exactly what some of the parts were for.

It's also a good idea to snap accessories to the character when they're near. Or, you could have the accessory appear on the character when you touch it. I've seen dress-up games done both ways. Making players try to position accessories on the character is annoying.

You should prepare yourself for some bad (and maybe nasty) reviews on this one.

I do like the fact that you give the user the option to turn the music on and off. Alot of people overlook that.

not bad

Good once I figured out what was going on. You need instructions explaining what we're looking at. It took me a few deaths to figure out this was a top-down game.

There should be more to it to make it progressively harder.

good game

It'd be nice if he had more of a tumble when he jumped and maybe a different animation for speeding up. Most games like this, though, just automatically speed up as you go--making it progressively harder.

More obstacles would also make it harder. One of the most impressive games of this type I've seen drops things from the sky as well. You could add archers and you have to do some sort of acrobatics to avoid the arrows.

When deploying the grappling hook, have it deploy only when you press the up arrow. As it is, it auto-deploys and makes it impossible to swing higher--unless I'm just doing something wrong. On really long stretches that I have to swing across, I lose too much height and can't jump any higher.

nice

It was pleasant to follow. The background music was nice. Good for a first flash.

I liked how you made the other characters follow the main character. Though, if I turned to walk to the left, they stopped following and didn't turn around.

Work on jumping and maybe giving this a story or something.

why'd you post this?

It may make sense to you but not to me. It's not really a game. It's a MMORG chat.

Don't see what's bad about it

It's a Myst-like game. It's not too bad either, considering the file size. Graphics are good. Would have helped to have some kind of story and animation.

a bit dull

It's hardly "Stickman F**kups" since they're not really f**king up anything. By the title, I expected bloopers of some sort, but all the deaths are intentional. F**kups in this case would be trying to kill the other guy and failing or having things backfire.

You have alot there, but it's not well-animated. The pacing on everything was off or too slow. In the golf club one, it looked like the guy just held the golf club to the other's head and his head came off.

With stickmen, since the art is so simple, you need to be really good at animating to make things interesting.

MekaShadowlight responds:

Yeah F**kups in this case is killing the stick, i probably should have mentioned that in the description. My Bad

A match?

It's an okay animation for 2 hours. It gets the point across. Having the user click to continue was unnecessary since there was only one option. You could have stated the riddle at the start of the animation. I'm not sure if alot of people bother looking at the author's comments.

Gorgoth117 responds:

Yeah I'll keep that in mind, But I wasn't originaly going to make it interactive but my teacher said It had to be so thats why. Also, you're right the actuall riddle was a match but our teacher wanted us to do something "original".

sigh

I have no problem with you expressing yourself, but I do have a problem with you putting out crap that takes very little effort to produce and doesn't seem to pertain to anything in the end.

One for the cute baby animals.
